WINTER PURSUITS DTS

Bringing hope to the slopes for Jesus, this DTS wraps around the winter season in New Zealand's South Island and also to South America on outreach. Come and journey with like minded Christians who have a focus to grow and go. Learning new skills, meeting new people and deepening your trust in God in one of the most beautiful places on the planet. This school will include regular visits to the slopes, a basic mountaineering course and will go on outreach to South America.

DTS Requirements

No alcohol or drugs, including tobacco, are to be consumed by any student during
the entirety of the DTS. We also ask that you refrain from developing romantic
relationships during the school and wait until after graduation. The reason being
that you’re doing the DTS for the purpose of drawing closer to God and developing
a deeper relationship with Him

Community Living

This means that you live, work & play with the same people day-in and day out. We have a high value on living like family here so respect & grace for each other is important! It can certainly be an adjustment, but we believe strongly in community

Food

We do our best to feed you well! That means 3 meals a day, snacks in between and we can accommodate a number of special dietary needs.

Common Spaces

There are plenty of common spaces all around our campus where you can hang out with others or find time for yourself. Whether it’s spending time with Jesus in the prayer room or playing volleyball on our “Field of Dreams,” there’s a space for you

Storage

You will have limited storage space in your rooms so it will be good to pack light! Fortunately though, we do have plentiful storage for belongings you don’t want to take with you on outreach.

Weather

The sun is very strong here and greatly affects the temp on any given day no matter the season. The weather can also be very unpredictable and quickly-changing, so having layers is always best. (I can provide specifics on the weather, feel free to ask)
